| Presentations: The CIS
Forum has grown in attendance. This year over 100 attended the 34
presentations. Some multitasked -- listening while working (below).
Many used
the hotel's wireless Internet from their laptops. Breakfast muffins,
coffee and tea were available (above right). UA volunteer
students ran the computer and projector (middle above). Most all slide
presentations were copied and can be downloaded from the program summary page. |

Legal
Roundtable: First-time presenter Anna Sokolova, a
Russian-American attorney suggested and organized this first discussion
panel for the Forum. All six panelists are members of the
Russia/Eurasia Law Committee of the International Section of the
American Bar Association. All four female panelists are Russian-born
attorneys, and three attended the University
of Arizona James E.
Rogers College of Law. A lively
discussion embraced the topic: "The Use
of Criminal Prosecution for Political Purposes".

Many continued networking at dinner, which ended at 10 pm. This was a

forum attracted a large number of international business students from
colleges in Arizona, California, and New York. They major in language,
business, and agriculture. |
