The Russian and Slavic Studies Department, along with SILLC and the College of the Humanities, congratulates Ari Meldrum and Megan McNaughton for the their recent awards!
Ari Meldrum was awarded the 2016 Florence Borozan Memorial Award for Russian and Slavic Studies. The award honors Florence Borozan, a distinguished alumna of the Russian and Slavic program at the University of Arizona. This award is made possible by the most generous gift of an endowment created by Sam Borozan, Florence Borozan’s son (featured in the center of the group photo).
The selection committee is delighted to award Megan McNaughton the 2016 Teresa Polowy Memorial Scholarship. Megan recently returned from a successful study abroad semester in Moscow and plans to use Russian in her future profession.
