Dr. Kamila Mateeva is a law professor at the American University of Central Asia, an English language university in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Earning her LLM from Indiana University, Kamila also has worked as an Academic Fellow for the Open Society Foundation. 

Dr. Mateeva is visiting under a RDI grant, put together by UA's William Simmons and Leonard Hammer, to finalize joint human rights programming between the UA and AUCA. 

She would welcome the opportunity to discuss her recent research on fair trial issues in Kyrgyzstan. Kamila focused on the distinction between the creation of fair trial laws and the means of applying and enforcing such laws.
