Students and faculty of the UA's Russian and Slavic Studies Department were invited by the Phoenix Suns to participate in Russian Heritage Night at Talking Stick Arena on Feb. 25. A group of 40 traveled to Phoenix, attended the game, and thereafter met with Sergei Karasev, originally from Russia and a member of the Suns' Thursday-night competitor, the Brooklyn Nets. Afterward, in a Q&A, Karasev expressed amazement that the UA students spoke with such eloquence.
