I am thankful for my Humanities degree for multiple reasons. It has taught me about different cultures and languages. It has taught me that as human beings, we strive to understand each other and to help each other. Through the Humanities I was able to be part of something bigger and better. I was taught to think outside the box and to understand the complexities of the world and gain real problem-solving skills. With the degree in Humanities, I learned patience and a multi-cultural approach to situations. I have a new determination and passion for helping others understand that all of us are able to make a real change, but it starts with understanding each other better and working together. My future goal is to work for the Foreign Service and use my Humanities degree in my travels and my future missions.
