FRIDAY, OCT. 21 7-9pm RUBEL ROOM, UA POETRY CENTER

 A fantastic evening awaits! “Russian Fantasia” will be a spectacle
of literature, music, and masquerade. Hear lively readings in
Russian with excerpts from folklore, farce, and fairytales along
with Russian musical interludes. This event takes place only days
before Halloween, so we invite you to come as your favorite
character from Russian lore. Baba-Yaga will be on hand to award
prizes for the best costumes. For more information, please visit

MUSIC by members of the Arcadia Chamber Ensemble (tenor, piano,
French horn, and clarinet) will include pieces by Rimsky-Korsakov,
Shostakovich, Stravinsky and others.

READINGS by the department’s students and faculty will be in Russian
accompanied by projected subtitles in English.

REFRESHMENTS - Light snacks will be served at 6:15 pm on the Poetry
Center plaza.
